A teenager who admitted raping a 12-year-old girl he met on Facebook who lied about her age has walked free from court.

19 year old Junaid Bhuta, from Preston initially contacted the girl by sending her a friend's request in April 2009.

Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court heard the girl told Junaid she was 16 before they met and had sex.

Bhuta who wants to go to university and study law pleaded guilty to statutory rape and received a suspended sentence
