There’s a call for more Asians to get in to sport

Cultural taboo and parental pressure means there aren’t enough young British Asians aiming high in sports.

It’s two years until the 2012 Olympics, and a Sikh think tank says not enough British Asians look set to play a part.

They’re blaming a dismissive attitude towards athletics for stopping our youth from becoming athletes.

Sikhs in England’s Harmander Singh is suggesting the Asian psyche is to blame.
