A bus driver accused of throwing two Slough students off for wearing a veil has been cleared after CCTV showed he had actually barred them for their abusive behaviour.
An investigation by Metroline found the driver was justified in not allowing the women on his bus at Russell Square.
The 22-year-olds, Yasmin and Atoofa, said they had been refused access because one of them was wearing a niqab, which covers the face.
But on-board CCTV from the bus showed the women banging on the front doors and attempting to board after it had come to the end of its service.
